COHARA was organized in 1996 with only 8 members but to date; it has a strong cohesive membership of 24 HOTELS, 11 RESTAURANTS, 54 ASSOCIATE & 4 ALLIED MEMBERS all accredited by our Department of Tourism Region X. Although we are in competition with each other, we are resolute in our mission to help one another make all our guests get the service our individual establishments could offer. COHARA is also proud to present our flagship project KUMBIRA – an annual culinary show and live competitions like no other in Mindanao. It has now become the best avenue to showcase one’s products and services... ABOUT COHARA The Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association or COHARA
is based in Cagayan de Oro City, located in the central coast
of Northern Mindanao, Philippines. It was organized in 1996
through the initiative of the regional office of the Department
of Tourism, Region X. Having affiliated itself as a chapter of
the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines or HRAP,
COHARA has mounted annual culinary festivals aptly called, KUMBIRA,
showcasing the talents of the Chefs from the different
restaurants in the region.
